Many Indigenous tribes that inhabited Texas had spiritual and cultural connections to rattlesnakes. Some Comanche tribes even performed a ritual where participants would ingest small amounts of rattlesnake venom and peyote. The venom was thought to have the ability to heal physical and spiritual ailments  🐍 😵‍💫
